Thanks to my second cousin Suzanne she tagged my great grandfather Henri Timm’s family photo in Ancestry.
To the best of my knowledge the people in the photo are as follows: Henri Pierre Timm my great grandfather who has his hand on his father Charles Timm’s chair, George Henri is the middle he was younger than Henri, Charles Daniel Timm has his hand on his mother Catherine’s (Catharina Kohnen) chair he was the oldest.
Their daughter Maria Catherine is missing from the photo. She is listed on the 1891 Census when the family moved for a short time to farm in Ste-Lucie-de-Doncaster, Terrebonne, Quebec. She was 9 at the time. I believe this photo was taken in 1892 before Henri married Dalia Labelle when Henri was 16, George would have been 14, his brother Charles would have been 17, their parents Charles and Catherine were both 46.
Finding the Clues That Tell the Story

Charles and Catherine’s Marriage Record
Finally after hitting a brick wall for close to 20 years I have been able to discover who my 3rd great grandparents are! How did I find it, my account with family search gave me a clue to review. So I have the indexers to thank that indexed the record to help the record to be matched with my family tree.
Below is my second great grandparents Charles and Catherine’s marriage record. It shows Charles’ parents are: Frederic Timm and Dorothee Techel and Catherine’s parents are: Daniel Kohnen and Gertrude Schlied. I am still researching the birth records for them. Both Charles and Catherine could read and write French as noted on the 1891 Canadian Census.

1901 Canadian Census Schedule 2
For the 1901 Census, names were recorded on schedule 1 and locations (addresses) of each household on schedule 2. For each household, the corresponding address in schedule 2 is identified by the page and line number of that household in schedule 1. For each division of each sub-district, schedule 2 can be found before the pages for schedule 1.
Since it contains no names, schedule 2 cannot be searched using our 1901 Census database. The PDF files listed below provides you a direct access to digitized images of Schedule 2, sorted by district, sub district and then division.
Luck would have it Henri Timm’s location of his household is not recorded on schedule 2 in the 1901 Canadian Census. Israel’s place of habitation in column 3 is a, cote 17.6 *7 72, two houses are inhabited in column 6, his farm is 260 acres a 1/4 square mile in column 12 . In column 14 the number of dwelling houses is 2, which may account for Henri’s house not been recorded.

Bonjour. Hello Elane. It took me some time to come back to you because I’ve been sick for a while in August and September. I took yesterday your message on my cellphone. Could we communicate by e-mail ? It would be more easy for me. Mine : gcopti@videotron.ca. Once again, I am very impress by the huge work you’ve done on our genealogy. Once again, I’m the grandson of Léa Timm maried to Zénon Tourangeau. My mother, Aline Tourangeau, and my father, Émilien Legault, were very closed for years to your direct ancestors, aunt Délia and uncle Eddy, because they’ve been living for a while in St-Jérôme, QC. I have a picture of the birth certificate of my grandma Léa. This certificate shows that she is born in Montréal. Why Montreal knowing that she was raised in Ste-Lucie, according to my mother ? Have a good day. Pierre Legault

Hi Elane,
I have traced my Timm line to Cornelius Nicolaus Timm
Born 5 April 1817 in Wesselburen, Dithmarschen, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. This is about 235km west of where you have traced your Timm line. Reimeri Timm immigrated to Iowa after landing in New York having taken a steamer from Hamburg 13 Jun 1867.
